PROGRAMS:

Target: 2008 Voters. We have them.

Political advertising is a multi-billion dollar industry and growing every year. To a large degree, today's consultants are broadcast-oriented, and simply not familiar with the opportunities newspaper advertising can offer their clients.

Michigan Press Association has already started a statewide outreach effort to the political consulting industry for the 2008 election cycle

Reach your target demographic

The Newspaper Association of America is working hard to change that. NAA has undertaken a multi-faceted campaign to educate the political consulting community about the advantages of newspaper advertising.

NAA published a tabloid-sized brochure entitled "50 of the Best Political Newspaper Ads" that contains the results of an exclusive survey of voters and their attitudes toward the media; features winners from an NAA competition among political advertisers; and explains how newspaper can be an effective part of a political advertising campaign.
NAA produced a computer animated presentation explaining all the benefits newspapers have to offer political campaigns. You can download the presentation and use it to help market your newspaper to political advertisers.
NAA launched a print ad campaign in publications geared toward the political consulting community. Each ad features a different reason why newspapers should be a part of every consultant's political media strategy.
