Growing Revenue Without Raising Rates

There is growing advertiser resistance to newspaper ad rate increases, particularly with continuing circulation declines being announced with every ABC audit. Raising rates to grow ad revenue has in fact long been less than fully effective, and sometimes even counterproductive. But there are ways to grow ad revenue without raising rates. These are non-price, rate-neutral and selective approaches, that almost all newspapers can use to their advantage. In this session, you will learn about the strategies and tactics that can be applied in both the short and long term to boost ad revenue by selling smarter.
Ed Strapagiel, Executive Vice President, Kubas Consultants
