In
January 2008, MPA launched the "Make it Michigan" campaign and began
running this strong message in newspapers across the state urging
residents to believe in Michigan and support it by purchasing Michigan
made products.
MPA is a very influential
state-wide organization with over 320 daily and weekly newspaper
members across the state. At a time when the state is struggling
economically, MPA has decided, with the help of its member newspaper,
to send a positive message to Michigan residents, small Michigan
companies and even the CEO's of the states most prominent companies.
Newspapers are still the most trusted medium and have been the reliable
source that Michigan residents have come to depend on. As an industry,
it is our job to stand by Michigan during these tough times and
encourage our readers to do the same. We hope that you will join us in
this initiative and help us restore faith in the state of Michigan
through our "Make it Michigan" campaign.
